COMPETITION OVERVIEW

For the young participants in the parade, the real work starts at the end of the school year. While peers are sleeping in or dragging to summer jobs, these young people are practicing for hours on end, as they strive to earn bragging rights as a winning team – and their performances are nothing short of remarkable.

During the parade, teams compete in their respective category: marching band; cheer; dance; drill. They are evaluated by a panel of judges based on technique, precision, creativity, enthusiasm and more.

Over the years, we have learned that participation in these activities does more than restructure summer leisure — it saves lives. We are so proud and honored to provide a platform that exposes their talents to the community.
