PARADE PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES
Liability Insurance: All Performing Participants MUST have general liability insurance for The Bud Billiken® Parade. Please ensure that the poilcy has the Chicago Defender Charities®, The City of Chicago, and The Chicago Park District as additional insured.
Unit Cap: A maximum number of 100 participants permitted are per unit. All member of the units must be coordinated in the units brand.
Sound: Sound content and parade route performances must be approved by the Chicago Defender Charities/Bud Billiken Lead team prior to event. Sound includes any form of music or rhythmic sound played on parade route.
Route Performances: Designated spots along the parade route will be marked for performances. These performances need to be within a specific time frame (TBD). All other routines must be performed while walking/driving to ensure the parade line is consistently moving.
Please Note: Sound is included for all units. Any units that consist of more than 3 vehicles or includes any animals must reach out to The Chicago Defender Charities® office at 773-536-3710 prior to registration.
Units with Vehicle - $3,500
Non-Profit//Small Business with Vehicle - $1950
Walking Units No Vehicle - $250
Parade Participant applications have a $50 (Non-Refundable) administration fee.
10 x10 tent - $950
20 x 20 tent - $1750
Park Vendor applications have a $50 (Non-Refundable) administration fee.
FOOD TRUCKS VENDORS
Food Truck Vendor applications have a $150 (Non-Refundable) administration fee.
