PERFORMING TEAM
RICH TOWNSHIP HS MARCHING BAND
he Rich Township High School Marching Band better known as "R3" (Rich East, Rich Central, Rich South) is a group comprised of band students from all three campuses in District 227. This is the first time they will participate in the Nationally televised Bud Billiken Parade. " The Mighty Marching Machine", as we like to call it, is a group that strives for the highest in all that they do. This year, they will present the music of Stevi Wonder on the parade route. His music has spanned over many decades with hits like "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" and "I Wish". We salute his musical genius and creativity and are inspired by his body of work.
The Rich Central, Rich East and Rich South Bands have participated in the Bud Billiken Parade since 2006. The group was formulated as an initiative to improve the music program in District 227. As we like to say, we are "Stronger Together". By combining our programs we are able to provide students with a more meaningful experience in music.
